privacy
What happens to your email address if you subscribe.
Who is responsible
21words is run by Charles Aram, based in Portugal. Contact: contact form.
What we store
If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date and time, the page you signed up from, and the exact consent wording you agreed to. We do not store your IP address with your signup and we do not use tracking cookies for the newsletter.
Why, and on what legal basis
Only to send you the 21words weekly email. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box on the form. We never sell or share your address for anyone else’s marketing.
Where it is kept
In a Cloudflare D1 database (primary location: Western Europe) under our Cloudflare account. Cloudflare acts as our hosting processor. If we later use an email-delivery service to send the newsletter, it will act on our behalf only and we will name it on this page before any email is sent through it.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Signups stay pending, and receive nothing, until you confirm them from a confirmation email. Every newsletter will include a personal unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You can withdraw consent at any time, and ask for access, correction or deletion through the contact form. You have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD, cnpd.pt).
To delete your address, use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any 21words email (it deletes your row immediately), or ask through the contact form and we will delete it once we have confirmed the request came from you.
Site analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics (a cookieless, privacy-friendly beacon embedded in each page) collects aggregate page views only — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers stored by us. Affiliate links, if any are added later, will be labelled “affiliate link”.
