  3. Run a history check. Outstanding finance, write-off, stolen

  6. Hunt for rust. Sills, wheel arches, floor, under carpets

How to Follow Up After a Sales Call or Meeting: The Checklist

Had a sales call or meeting and heard nothing back? Here is a follow-up checklist that keeps you useful, not annoying.

Captions are burned into the video. Length 1:09. Narrated in the author’s own voice.

The checklist

  1. Follow up the same day. Or next morning if it ended after 4 pm
  2. Recap in one line. What they asked + one next step + two times
  3. Put a date on it. Every deal: one status, one next-touch date
  4. Space it out. Working days 0, 2, 5, 8, 14
  5. One channel per touch. Don't hit email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp at once
  6. Change the angle. Day 5: new value, not more volume
  7. Make the next step cheap. Day 8: a 15-minute call or 3 bullets
  8. Close the loop. Day 14: say you'll stop, leave a door open
